I like the idea, but it has way too much small details in it. Try to simplify it. Also, I can't read the text.

I love Metallica but using their name like that is a little low brow, especially for a business you plan to profit from. that sort of thing could earn you a cease and desist notice. Also, if you have to tell someone what it says then that should tell your something about your logo. Also, that's Gibson Guitar's head stock design. Metallica plays ESP.
Your artwork is not bad but none of it is really original. Sorry.
This is just unreadable. Too many details and effects.
Though Hetfield and Hammett also play Gibsons, they're more known to play ESP, as jon pointed out. This Les Paul headstock gives a Southern Rock feel which is not really adequate for a Californian band like Metallica. Also, it's really clip arty. Make your own design.

Fair enough. Active pickups are too hot for my personal tastes. I have a Seymore Duncan JB at the bridge and that thing sings and screams.
And to the original poster, I'm not trying to hate. I think your art skills are definitely there. My objection is more on principle than anything.
