I think it's too complicated... I would remove some of the elements.

But, what you are left with won't be that unique. Really, I would start over with a fresh idea.

This has potential to be turned into a nice retro logo but you are still very far from making it happen.
Your idea is pretty basic, you need to develop it in a different direction and your execution is catastrophic.
MY advice: bookshop > books on graphics & logo design > study hard.
