Kandy Coffee Boutique

Brief from client
Client need a logo for his Coffee shop. It is in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Kandy is a beautiful, historical town. So he need to mention the name Kandy Coffee Boutique.
I used top view of a coffee cup & made KCB from its froth.
I feel this foam is mora for a beer than a coffee. The espresso with milk use a microfoam its very different. This is like a ilustration mora than a logo.
i disagree with graficouno... I wouldn't dismiss this idea all together. has great potential. My advise, simplify the bubbles, "less is more" I know you are using the bubbles to carve the initials KCB, but you will lose the small bubbles when this logo is shunk. bigger bolder font across the top. and bottom.
I agree with much of what was said above. I think it's a great idea in theory, but the bubbles are far too detailed (but I do get a 'coffee' feel more than a beer feel)- they would get lost in printing or if they were reduced much at all. You might not be able to keep it so that the letters are made out of bubbles (without the smaller bubbles it might not look as clear!?), but if you can that would be cool. Also, I'm not completely sold on the font that surrounds the circle. I'm not a huge fan of super spaced out text, and for some reason I just want to see a bigger, bolder font in place of the stuff you have now. It's all very subdued, and it feels like SOME of the text should really pop out at you.
But just as Carl mentioned, I think this is a great starting point- keep going! (And keep updating us with the progress!)
