When I first saw this, I couldn't figure out why a designer needed air vents in their D. I realize now that it is a pencil. I like the idea, but I think you need to find a different way to express it. The green version may have been the problem. Pencils are a gold color. I may also be missing what the blob is...kinda looks like a cat head sideways.
