Brief from client
The brief was something along the lines of "I need a new logo for my Kebab Shop and I want it to look like a very well known burger chain".

Call me crazy but I like this logo.
As you said, it's not earth shattering, but it works.
My main beef is how the characters are cut by the mask.
Good work.
agreed with shawali on that, but im just not a big fan of "stretched Words"
and my opinion has not changed
yeah you have round cornered letters and sharp cut other letters
I agree, looking at it now, the text could do with a bit of finessing. Unfortunately, yet again, time and budgets get in the way of satisfaction.
I'll show you more soon.
Well sometimes you can invest some more time. So you can build a better portfolio and the next time you will be faster and maybe better!
Is this critiquing or just plain patronisation?
Something tells me you don't design in the real world...or maybe you have the most amazing job that allows you to satisfy your boundless talent?
It says "beer" My dear.
And that was called a "tip" and you can invest some time in an project if you are a freelancer.
And ya also in the "real world" i'm a designer. i'm just building my portfolio now

Let me know if you have the same opinion in 10 years ;)
No, because in 10 years you should have a reasonable portfolio.
you have your own website?
Small text box btw :)
p.s. Does your avatar say Beer or Bees?
It honestly makes me think of Burger King. Almost the same colors, near the same shape.
But I like.
That's exactly what the client wanted. Bingo!
Oh Webhunter
I think you have misunderstood.
Anyway, I have a portfolio with over 50 logos that are in use.
From what I can see, you are an intern with only a logo concept for a company that doesn't exist. You've got great enthusiasm and I sincerely hope you keep it, but I'm sure you'll soon find out the reality of the client/designer relationship.
Lets carry this on when I post another logo :)
Okay, I assume that you have your own business or are in employment and have to complete within a certain number of hours your projects. Well then no, of course you can not spend more time.
But if you're like me, indeed still an intern, i have more free time (for my own projects) so I COULD stabbing more time in a project for a better portfolio.
and you're not the only person who logos are in use.
But you would not see all the logos in my portfolio, in addition, it was still being built.
Out of pure interest, how long you have been working in this field :D?
Since 1998. I imagine you were at school, oh dear, that's depressing.
haha well i'm looking forward to see some more work from you!
