Just playing a round. I've got this name in my mind since a long time a go and i start it to try some things. So... every one of you can help me with this.
The idea: NO RULES AT ALL!!

I like the NRD - the bottom line is a little difficult to read at once - it took me some seconds before I got it...
Reminds me of TRD toyota racing development logo to much.
not a fan of the font on the bottom either.
if you change the font type, more technologic, and the "design" change the color, use a green, and combine the styles bolds and lights fonts

Emanates poor design - opening credits of a 1980s sci-fi film perhaps? Your second design fits the name far better.
Looks like it was inspired from the World Rally Championship logo then modified for better legibility.
I like the simplicity of it, if it were my logo, I'd try something like a knock-out streak in the middle of each letter. Then again, that would reduce legibility.
Hard logo to improve on.
