Brief from client
It's a logo for a client "innovative technology company", and wanted to include the bulb as an icon to refer to new ideas,
The concept is okay, but the lightbulb theme is really over used. However, it does relate to the company's theme. The lightbulb shape needs some serious work to make it look refined.
Thank you for for commenting it was helpful, however the old company logo contained a bulb in it and they didnt want to remove the icon, however i just refined it and include it in the type
This is just a thought, it may not work at all, but why not use an energy efficient light bulb, which seem to be the norm for a lot of people these days? Maybe using it as the E?
I think this is a workable idea for sure- but my main issue would be the font you picked. It looks kind of like eurostyle and for some reason, it just looks dated. At very least maybe change the subtext!? But I think the idea of using the light bulb as the g (while it IS a little overdone) could be made to work well, but I also like curagas idea of possibly using the energy efficient bulb as an e. Good job so far though!

For an innovative company, the light bulb is very old idea.
And it should be as thick as the font to look good.
