Brief from client
We are a business who has engagement with real estate, mortgages and so forth. We want a logo which would be able to be used universally as we are looking to expand our business in the near future so nothing that is solely related to real estate as such.

You have what appears to be 4 different fonts in 4 different sizes. Too much.
The tag line is going to get lost completely at anything smaller than this.
People have been turning E's into plugs a lot lately. But this execution is poor. That plug will get lost. If you are going with this idea turn the C into the base of a large plug and use the negative space of the E as the 2 prongs. But I warn you, it's been done.
Lose the gradients.
Sorry, but this needs some work.
I would use only 2 fonts here; one for "REConnect" and 1 for the rest.
The arrangement of the text looks good but needs some resizing.
Try this:
1. "Lender" as it is
2. "RE" inside an orange box. "Connect" inside a blue box.
3. Lose the cord and the plug. Maybe a small square can be used to connect the two boxes.
4. "Balance, Simplicity..." goes from the left side of "RE" to the right side of "Connect". i.e it goes all the way.
5. Lose the shadows and gradients.
Let's see how it looks now.
EDIT. The idea is good. My bad on that thumb selection.
This is a logo that was on this site for critique:
The idea is beautiful, the application incomplete...
This logo will approach the company/provider Internet more. You are engaged "in real estate, mortgages etc." the logo should symbolize it, I so think. Clean a gradient.
I like the idea but you must make it more simple...the rest is just too much.
Most of 'plug' ideas have been done numerous times, it's nothing to write home about, even that very nicely executed "Harradine Electricals" example is just a derivative of several old logos done the same way.
I think you first need a better idea that will give your logo authenticity and then a much, much better execution then you showed here.
In my opinion, it would be best to hire a professional to do this for you.
Not working at this point. Start with a blank sheet of paper.
Price should always be a factor in college selection, though a fair amount of students are aware of this. A recent study of recent freshmen by researchers from UCLA found it is becoming a very large factor in their choice of alma mater.
