Y'know, I really hate to downvote this, just because some of these elements would work well in other settings, but not for a logo. You have an interesting composition, but there is a different time and place for this kind of treatment.

Your text is too hard to read, as well.

What exactly is the purpose of this piece, anyway?

This is the logo for the geodesic firm, one of the oldest companies in the industry. The logo depicts a winged compass that measures the earth , and from the top of the compass is replaced by Instrument

Ever since I saw this logo without my glasses by squinting my eyes - it looks very much as Yoda face from Star Wars. Dias, is a script in Russian on roundel? I think that with some extra careful approach this can be taken to another level to look new/old at the same time.

overall, it's hard to read, and one advice NEVER do a script all caps ! NEVER except the first letter
