I think your direction is a good start but the balance between the symbol and the text is off, right now the symbol is overpowering the text, I would suggest reducing it by at least half. On the symbol I like version 2 with the solid star points much better, on the open one like version 1 & 3 it just adds another unneeded element, simpler is most often better. Same with the colors, have you tried the star symbol with just the blue and yellow?I don't mind the font, it's a little dated but it works. Definitely the blue and grey in this version, since you are using the same font for name and tag line you need that separation in my opinion. And I would make the ® smaller and tuck it under the top of the T a bit, no need for it to stand out so much, it distracts from the logo.
