Brief from client
Just a personal thing for me, had a bit of spare time so thought id try to do something more with my logo as this may be the future :)
Haha! I liked this as soon as it popped up.
I would like to see lots of revision around the M@ logo, the M inside the circle, my approach would just be do to as many as i could and keep finding the small bits which worked. You may have gone through this already.
One tip on making sure everything fits the current style is to make all sharp edges nice and round. It all fits into the 'Flat Colour' icon trend, and the vintage stamp printing. Like in this example on Angelitos - http://yeoldestudio.co.uk/?project=a Even for a knife, the tip is very dull.
But overall it works for me, Your logos always been a strong on. (I remember I thought it was Me, rather than M@ on first impression)
You've also got a great logo to work in some curved text around the edges. I like to play with something small or silly, something which wont always be used.
"THE WORLD FAMOUS" - Top curve
"HERO FOR HIRE" - Bottom line.
I love working with the text in Curved/Arched formats(Text to path, or Text to Curve tool?), it is the only Reason I open Illustrator, which I then copy and paste over into Flash.
thanks for the feedback and tips Joe - really appreciated!
I havent actually tried many versions of the "m" at all and this is something i will try more of as i think your right, there could be another "m" out there that will look nicer. the "m" at the moment is from geogia bold italic.. i might even try drawing my own "m"!
i have however tried putting text in curves like youve said around the symbol but i dont think it looks very good and the reason is that the curve is a kind of oval tilted so the text doesnt quite look right.. maybe i need to make the curve more of a conventional circle to get the text to fit better around it.. ill keep working on this!
I like that you thought the symbol said Me at first impression as it is a complete combination of Me - my name - Matt Cox
Ah your right, In my experience. I've never been happy with using curved text unless it followed the perfect circle. I had this issue with Coffereta where the logo shape changed. Interesting to know.

Cool. The grid on a flag looks spectacular. But I would have something to do with "m".
Someone got his inspiration from Joe White =)
Looks nice.
hahaha yea that boy has given me a lot of inspiration recently!

This is cool:) loved the subtext. It looks classy.can anyone suggest any good website for free fonts.I sometimes follow www.dafont.com.
Check out 'LostType'
Stay away from DaFont like it's the plague!!! There might a very few potent fonts there, lost in an ocean of crappy ones.
As Joe White pointed out, www.losttype.com is where you want to go for cool professional free fonts.
Thanks for the information but www.losttype.com is not free
When I click on the download button,it's asking for a donation.
just put in 0! :) it will then let you download it for a single user
It works! Thank you so much M@ :)
This is lovely. I'd like to see the m more centered on the @ though, but that's nitpicking...
