i am opening an online forum for pet lovers to discuss certain topics. I need a clean logo which illustrates what I do.
so far I've come up with this idea. let me know whats working and whats not.

i like it....i think it will work. Would try some other ideas with different fonts tho. good job
The ears of the bubble-cat are not even.
The bubble-cat itself is off the shape of the rectangle where you have the wordmark. Try centering it and see how it looks.
I don't like the colors because they are too web 2.0
I got trashed for the use of the overdone speech bubble symbol.. so I guess you should to : )
: ) i know but i think its relevant for this logo, wouldn't have used it otherwise??

you are right about the speech bubble thing but the only reason why i like this one is because the speech bubble is not your everyday speech bubble...its a cats head making a speech bubble,...my opinion at least ;)
i love the idea, however, there was only one thing that got me, no it's not the speech bubble, it was cleverly unique, the only thing that i see is, i read that it is a vet forum, however, i see the cat symbol, i keep thinking it's a cat forum. but it does hit the point of what it is.
I like it, i prefer the blue cat than the pink cat of your other desing. And i love cats he he!!
