Brief from client
Personal logo for my work as a developer and UX/UI-designer. They're my initials M.W. Made out of 90 degree rotated ">" characters in a two-tone colour scheme.
Also by doing the colour theme it turned out they also formed 2 sets of "//", which is a commonly used character combination to put comments in your code

I like it! you can use this a a kind of signature but when displaying the logo as a whole you will need to put your name with it. Not sure on the colour scheme, its really hard to see the light colour lines
Interesting idea, no doubt. The only thing that bothers me is when I look right at a center of the symbol , there I see " W " mainly with a help of the two gray parts.

I like where this is going, but there are a few things that need to be cleaned up.
The circular ends are out of round, they've been distorted. The angles and spacing are inconsistent. The pink bars lean at one angle while the grey ones, while close, are off by a few degrees. They ought to be mirrored or else it makes the logo look like its leaning a little bit to the left. Also the spacing between bars should remain consistent, the first two and last two are spaced one way but the center two are off. Also, the light grey is way too light on a white background, it disappears.
These are small, and easy to fix. Just tidy it up a bit and you're good to go.

your critique's are the best!
I do what I can to help. My days are spent closely examining other people's logos, cleaning them up, and preparing for production to make them into physical objects. Details are important. If a designer does things well and proper, fine tunes their work and makes sure everything lines up, it saves headaches for everyone down the line. Remember that what we draw will be used later by printers, web developers, videographers, sign makers and more, each with their own needs. It's more than courtesy, it's our job to get it right, so that we don't create messes for everyone else.
Hey man, thanks for all the good critique, I already noticed the non-ciruclar endings soon after uploading, but I thought it wasn't worth a re-upload of the logo. Here is a variation on this I've been working on, the extremely invisible light grey bars have gone away, and a simple light/dark colour scheme separates the M and W
Like it! upload this one as a new version
Yes! I dig the new version. It's a lot more distinct. This works really well.
