I think this is a decent logo that could be used as is.
I'm wondering why you can't see the whole name "MediaWave" and only the symbol. I would like to see the full name included as well, as people need to be able to know who the company is if they have never seen it before.
Often I think gradients and drop shadows aren't appropriate for logos, but they work really well here, as this is a media/digital company.
Solid design. Nice play with typography with the flipped M/W.
