Logo for a small moto rock festival in Mezdra Bulgaria
Working version of the logo.
Because of the epidemic. The fest will not be held, but I still have time to play.
The idea is to look like a shield. Red and black are the colors of the local football team.
I know there is still a lot to do on it. My question is whether the idea works

The idea is sound but this is only the beginning and there's still much to do.
From the get-go, I'd say find another font. For me, Impact is way into Comic Sans territory. It's a free font, very effective for what it was meant to do but is overused, especially by non-professional and has no place in logo. Try to fond 2 complimenting fonts, to create some contrast. You can find some cool and professional fonts for free on the web. A site like www.losttype.com is a good place to start looking.
Also, avoid this fake 3D effect. It makes your logo looks cheap.
Now, You need to spend a bit more time for the baseline of "Mazdra" to match perfectly the upper side of "rock".
I'm not a fan of how "rock" and "fest" connect with each other. It feels forced.
This logo definitely has potential. But as festival brand identities go, you have a tremendous amount of work ahead of you if you want yours to compete with what already exists. This is a really cool challenge and props to you for keeping working on it even though the festival has been cancelled.

Hello thanks for the tips. There is definitely something to do with the logo. I'll try with other fonts and show what happened.
I am new to Logo design.
I like the idea of the shield. As from normal person's point of view it looks good. But I feel that the way Rock is connected to Fest it bugs me sometimes.
I think u can work more on color as it can be improved further.
Typography is OK but try if u get better font from somewhere.
At first look it is great!
