Brief from client
Hi this is a temporary logo for my new web portfolio at http•//www.microkid.it
The light on the lettering comes from the right side.
Usually the shadow is on the right.
I choose this font cause it looks to me very vintage comic cover styled.

This looks a lot better with the face looking towards the right but I think you should either get rid of the extruded text or extrude it on the left side so the movement matches the direction the face is looking. It might also help the ".IT" look less awkward. It's throwing me off right now. I think the subtext could be enlarged some as well. Have you tried this without the horizontal lines encasing the text?
I would also keep the face in this direction but reflect the clouds back to the direction they were in your first version. This will apply the motion upwards and forward rather than downward. It feels more positive that way.
True, these clouds make it appear as if he is looking down, not to the sky. The clouds are better the other way.
I agree with Jon, the clouds need to go upward.
My initial critique about the word mark not connecting with the symbol still stands.
I would also pick a much more simpler font, no perspective, just one simple and nice flat font.
