Mike Gulden Designs

Hi- maybe I'm just in a bad mood b/c I can't get one of mine to work... But, I don't really see an idea here. There is no symbol to speak of, and All the different font sizes are throwing me off. Not a huge fan of the color scheme. Sorry so harsh. You said you were going for simple and I don't think you accomplished that.

I can see a bit of potential here, but your current font choice for "Gulden' is just not working for me... a bit too cartoony and doesn't match up with the angular style of the rest of the design. Try a font that's a bit more modern and edgy. I'm not a fan of the colour choice either, but if you intend to use different colour combinations that it's not as important... but you should bare it in mind.

Sorry, I don't understand the idea and overall it doesn't feel pleasant to look at.

When I see 'designers' posting personal logos like this, and there are a lot of them on this critique board, I should feel happiness because my competition in the graphic design community looks like a bunch of untalented and uneducated morons but, I don't. I feel sad.
You might ask why....well, the answer is here:
Good competition is a driving force behind designers creativity. It forces you to get smarter and better.

Thanks for the tips. I don't claim to know anything about logo design, so all of your comments are helpful. I will look into the re-design
