Mountain Rides, Public Transportation

Brief from client
Rebranding for a public transportation company that services the wood river valley, Idaho. The buses connect Hailey and Bellevue with the Sun Valley Ski Resort. The buses is used by working locals and tourists to get between the ski mountain and the resort.
The current logo is a green arrow on black with Mountain Rides spelled out in Helvetica Bold italic.

I agree with shanuea about the green, but I think a little simplification and you could have something clean and professional.
Get rid of the inline black stroke and the clouds. They are overkill.
Then address the typography. Why does "rides" need to be bold? Try examples of many different san-serif typefaces to find one that works better, and adjust the kerning. The kerning on this one is a bit too wide and not optically pleasing.
