ndz logo
Brief from client
Ok so the type of business I'm running is based on music and social events....I am a DJ and music producer...but I also am a club/party promoter as well so I will use my business for that first then use that to fuel my music stuff
My favorite colors are red and blue...red more specifically because its dominant...but in this case how about red, platinum, and black. As far as style....artistically speaking from a producer POV, I am futuristic, I like thinking 5-10 years ahead rather than in the present...I am also simplistic as well if that helps....so Ill look for some examples real quik.
OK just did a search....these here appeal to me in some way...

The problem with using gradients/glows/shadow effects is it cannot translate to black/white and screen print well at all.
Honestly, I didn't read that lower letter as a Z. I wouldn't have known it was NDZ without reading the title, so that's a problematic factor right there.
This honestly doesn't look futuristic to me. It looks like a fad from the 2000's which involves 3D rotated text and bevel/embossed letters. You're better off with the "flat" look which has taken the mobile interface by storm recently, and to that extent, PCs as well. Because of that, this looks a little outdated, and not very "simple." Furthermore, asking Google what a futuristic, simple logo looks like will yield results that vary in quality tremendously. You'll no doubt get inspiration that way, but it's good to know which ones are strong.
We tell a lot of designers to sketch on pencil and paper when it appears they're either out of ideas or could use improvement. It definitely does help discover new possibilities, and I think it could help bring something else to the table. Good luck.
I agree with Killswitch, this is not working at all.
First,I read ND group. And when I'm told there's a letter under the cube, I read NND group.
Now, as Killswitch pointed out, this looks very dated and also unnecessarily complicated.
If you want inspiration, www.logopond.com and www.dribbble.com are the way to go, rather than a simple google search, which may indeed yield some result of uneven quality.
Restart frtom scratch and stay away from your screen. Just sketch away.
Good luck.
I've got to agree with everything up there. Nothing about this logo is doing it for me.
What are those trails coming out of the letters? Missiles? Fire? WHY? What does that have to do with anything?
I also don't see a Z under the ND. It looks like another N, and the logo definitely reads ND Group.
Absolutely try to sketch something new out, and use a more creative font for GROUP then Helvetica. Haha.
