I have no idea what NeckThru even could pretend to mean. If I saw this name, no matter how good it was made into a logo, I would have no idea what the company did.
The name is not my idea, but I think it is a pretty good one... Look for "neck through" guitars on Google. The client changed the name to "NeckThru" be shorter, I guess...
But it's not done yet. The connection between the curve of the cable and the T isn't really smooth and needs some fine tuning (pun totally intended)
I had some doubts about the brand name and the symbol. As a guitarist myself I know what a neck through is, that's why I don't really get why the symbol is something else, although still guitar related.
But in the end, it doesn't really matter. The logo is globally well done and more importantly, memorable. Albeit a bit left heavy.
Some tweaks here and there and that would be a pretty good piece for your portfolio.
I look at the curve between "N" and "T" and I can't see anything wrong with it, can you help me?
I can't do anything about the brand name, not my choice but I think it is a pretty good idea... The "NeckThru" is where the guitar arm should be and the curve between "N" and "T" is in a form of a portuguese guitar.
The only thing that bothers me is that small stylization on the letter N. Maybe Inot know enough about the music too, so maybe if you explain it to me it would make sense, but now i think that it would look like a mistake in printing, especially, when they print it in small scale.
That stylization inside the "N" is a jack cable, that connects the guitar to amplification, so it has everything to do with the slogan "Music in connection". But I agree with you, it will get lost in small priting.
Looking nice! I also see too much detail in that connection to the N, something simpler should work better. Also try aligning the text to the right, I think it will look more balanced.
I'm trying to simplify the jack cable as you said but is getting harder to achieve something great. I aligned the text to the right and it fits better, thank you!

I like it! Very simple, maybe you should try 2 colors! Just a suggestion!
I have another option for light backgrounds, with the logo in the same red as the background here, and the slogan in dark grey.
I like it.
It is nice.
This is more about the name than anything else.

True, I don't know anything about music... that would help in this case.
Yup, this is working nicely.

Good job!

For me, it is good - but not simple and catchy enough. Are there elements to grow together? Give it a second try
Elements to grow together? There are already 2 symbols, the curve that ressembles a portuguese guitar and the jack cable inside de "N".
I like the idea of the logo.

But the rest of it is very good. Keep going!

Looking back at it, I have a question: is it something specific to guitar playing or does it concerns music in general?
It is a music school, nothing specific to guitars... But the name is clearly guitar related.

A good idea, but is not agressive and symbolic....... colors more acid or high!!
Why do you think that a music school should be agressive?
