Need Ideas

Hate to say it, but the client doesn't know what he/she wants. That's why they hired you, the designer. Use your experience and skills to design a logo without poor design choices a client imposes. In this case, I'm referring to letters touching.

I think this isn't simple at all. It's too crowded and busy. TheKillswitch is right...the client doesn't always know what they want. Even when they do, most often than not they are terrible ideas. I'd suggest ditching the stars and stripes. Choose a different typeface, and do something interesting with it that sells the patriotic feel you are looking for. At a glance, the current logo doesn't really say anything about what the company does. Good start, but the core idea needs work.
