Brief from client

Client is a travel guide, who plans to offer travel packages as well in the future. One of the 3 destinations he currently goes to is Brazil.

Thanks everyone for any thoughts or suggestions.

It's always commendable to play with a custom type but you must keep in mind that it has to be instantly readable first and foremost.

Unfortunately, this is not the case here. It's not that it's totally unreadable but all these bits and bobs just get in the way of a clean, first sight legibility.

There are also way too many elements going on. The smiley face, the palm trees and the paper plane which is totally crashing down. Not something you want in a travel related logo =) Also, you don't really want anything going left down to the right. It just gives a very negative feel to the whole thing.

The colors aren't terrible but both are pretty dense, albeit one being cold and the other warm. Create more contrast by matching one dense color with a lighter one.

The main word is here SIMPLIFY. Drastically. Get rid of the smiley face, it's dorky and somewhat creepy. Have the plane go up, not down. And the palm trees are a bit the obvious go-to symbol, I would remove them as well.

Spend more time researching logos from the same type of business and more importantly, sketch a lot before committing to anything on the computer.

You clearly have a good eye for design, but you need to practice more. Keep it up!
