Way too long of a name for a company, if you ask me.

I think you'd have to work a bit more compactly, though. This wouldn't work as a logo; too many small pieces. This looks more like a movie title if anything.

Or is this spam? I hope not.

It's not a very big company, it's more foccused on unique products with quality over quantity, all handmade.

The small pieces, "fancy" typography and the "look" similar with movies is intentional. The designs used in the products is very connected with magic and fantasy and is intentionally inspired in universes such as alice in wonderland and Amelie Poulain, among others.

Thanks for your critique. I understand and agree with you in some points, but the logo really is meant to have this style according to the briefing.

Do you also understand that when a logo is shrunk down, those small pieces lose their quality? Take a look at the thumbnail on the right. That's how small a logo could potentially be used, and the small parts have to hold up. It's not even from a subjective perspective, it's an observation on functionality.

I understand the style you're trying to achieve, and that's fine. But perhaps adjustments can be made to have a strong logo for multiple purposes?

I'm really liking this. Mostly because it's not really a logo per sé, but a word mark. A beautiful hand drawn word mark.

Twp things I'd change/fine tune : "de" seems to be the only part of the text that has been typed in rather than hand made. It kinda shows and looks a bit off.

I'd also remove that drop shadows. I guess it's just for showcasing purposes, but you need to have a strict graphic charter setting rules on how your word mark should and shouldn't be used. among these rules, one should be "no fucking drop shadows, yo". But any logo should have this rule.

About these squiggly parts, they don't really bother me. If the logo, sorry, word mark, is reduced, you'd still be able to re read them. You can leave them be.

Anyhoo, great job. A bit more fine tuning and you'll have a word mark you can be proud of.

Thanks!

Now that you pointed out the "de" part of the logo I noticed it too. I agree with you, thanks again.

I agree 100% with Shawali and disagree with Killswitch. Even when scaled down, the main words in your wordmark are very readable. I think this is a fantastic example of designing for the brand. I definitely get the feel of a smaller shop with handmade items from this logo.
The only critique I have is that the capital A in Debora has the curly tail, whereas the capital A in Anne does not. It looks a little unbalanced to me, but I'm really nitpicking on that one. Great job!

Look at the thumbnail on the right. Are you sure you can see every word with ease? I don't believe I'm off-base here, but it does become a chore to identify the thin lines at a smaller size.

Don't get me wrong, I like the style here, but I think there's at least some merit to my observation.

Not saying your opinion has no merit. My opinion just happens to differ.

I can see every word clearly and legibly in the thumbnail. Having the connecting, smaller words in a darker shade of blue helps the design maintain legibility. And frankly, the only time it would come into being so small, the viewing distance would be close to match the size, like in a business card or the tag of an article of clothing. Nobody is looking at a business card from five feet away, that's not it's purpose.

Hemie the point of a logo is that its recognizable.

This is not readable when scaled down to the size as much as the thumbnail as Killswitch pointed out. And that the logo has lots of swirly handmade typography going on without a destinct graphical shape makes this a not recognizable and barely readable logo when slimmed down.

So your point is not valid.

Do you have experience making a logo that would be used on a billboard and also on a business card? If yes, then you would understand what im saying.

I'm not here to go back and forth and argue on the opinion of one person vs. another. A critique is to get opinions from different people that might not share the same viewpoint, which I think is the case here. So I will choose my words carefully...

I respectfully disagree when you mention that this logo is not readable when scaled down. I can legibly read the logo 100% in the thumbnail. The "swirly handmade typography" lends itself well to a business that makes things in a "handmade" fashion, therefore, makes this a successful logo. Also, this logo is a wordmark, which by definition, does not require a "distinct graphical shape" because the letters make the shape.

I do agree that a logo needs to be both legible in a large and small format (business card to billboard), but consider the viewing distance in relation to the size the logo will be printed at. I don't know anyone trying to legibly read a business card from 10+ feet away, like you would a billboard.

I never mentioned anyone had invalid points, it's a matter of opinion and taste. Simple as that.

Great work!!! the only change i would have done is reduce the size of Mundo...that will make it look oval and balanced. May be not but to me 'M' and 'O' seems a bit overpowering others.
