It was left pretty open. Will be used on business cards, shirts, and web.
The Company name comes from where the cattle are located, Oakland Plantation.
I used an acorn (from the Oak Tree). Oaks line the avenue entrance to the plantation. I then used that as a base for a cow face/head.
I like it all except the typography has this worn effect and the rest of the logo doesn't. It's best to make it consistent.
Actually this is the one I sent to the client, but at this size I thought the more "worn" one would be hard to read.

Maybe try a few combinations with a smaller acorn/bigger ears, who knows, .maybe it can get even better
