Brief from client
`Trying out various logos and need a critique from honest and informed persons. We are roofing contractors as of now with the desire to build our "empire" based on the construction and remodeling of homes.
WE HAVE A DILEMMA AS TO: 1. THE COLORS; 2. THE NUMBER OF HOUSES; THE WHOLE CONCEPT IS BEING PORTRAYED; AND, 4. IF THE ROOFING ASPECT SHOULD BE HOMES OR JUST ROOFS.

Oooooooooh no. CMY(sub K for orange) and RGB? Forget about the houses. There's no connection in the name itself. There's too much of everything except planning and a proper concept. Another problem is with the concept itself. These houses look more like real estate than construction. I hate to have nothing but negatives, but you should scrub this whole design and get back to paper and pencil.
Thank you I wanted brutal honesty. Now for my next question should focus be on roofs or whole home graphics?
I would say do some research for Home Construction Logos and get some inspiration going. Start making some rough sketches of your ideas. You don't have to be particularly good at this, if you don't happen to be, but it will really help has out ideas and give you some options to try as far as layout and composition. Once you do get to your computer, start with one color. Every logo has to be able to function in this environment. Take your time and don't rush the craft.
sorry it just doesn't work ! you should reduce the number of colors to a bare minimum...this looks like a freaking rainbow rofl
like t was said you should do some research, try putting ideas on paper..that helps
