This is just a bit of self branding for my Youtube channel as sort of an opener, possibly for backgrounds as well.
I have an animated version in which the cog rotates to a song I composed.
I'd just like a little insight as this is the first logo that I've seriously created for myself.

It appears as if Otsin Overclocked has been overlooked.
I think I would need to see the animated version, and hear the song, to see if this works or not.
It is particularly solemn and muted. Sad almost. If that fits the song, then I suppose you did good.
I imagine it happy and cheerful though, with that cog hitting that O in overclocked and making it bounce. It isn't right for that at all though. So if it is to be happy and fun, it isn't that at all.
If this isn't dystopian, then it needs new fonts at least!
I appreciate the feedback, perhaps the solemnity is why people overlooked it. :P
I want it to be a fun channel, though I always have a perfectionist side to me that wants to be professional. Sometimes its difficult to balance the both of them, especially when it comes to correct coloring. My apparent color for professionalism is 'drab'. >_>

That is a sample video I made to test the music. The bulk of the music is meant for more of an outro, the intro would only be a couple seconds long before the melody starts. Short attention spans get bored of long intros.
I'm still learning more about animation, and its not as polished as I want the finished product to be. Your idea for bouncing text certainly gets me thinking again.
