Needed a Logo for Egyptian Political Party
.. in a flag like format which will evolve to a memorable Symbol of the Egyptian movement for the Republic
must have the spirit of Egyptian Culture (ancient to present)
to be recognized worldwide as an Egyptian Symbol
Logo & Symbol for the "Egyptian movement for the Republic (EMOR)"
started with the Symbol of the river Nile as Seen from space on the Egyptian Map and the Nile Delta in the north of Egypt, and the Nile River has a significant role in the founding of the Egyptian State (First state known to mankind)
Combined with 3 Lotus Flowers (which is an ancient Egyptian Symbol Found on Pharaoh's Wall Carves and ancient papyrus)
and 3 Flowers Symbolize the three principals of the movement (Liberty, Justice & Dignity) which was shouted out loudly in the starting of the Egyptian Revolution in the streets since Jan25,2011 till the people complete the quest for making these principals a true fact.
Every flower has 9 Petals in total of 27 petals which are the Sum of Egyptian Governorates

I think it is a good start.
Without reading the explanation I would not have guessed the reference of the Nile river, and I could not tell that those are Lotus flowers.
Still think you have good elements to use (Nile, Lotus).

I agree with mahayni, without reading the text i cannot guess what it is. At first i tghought this should be a cornflower....a Lotus flower is much wider and has a lot more leaves....maybe u have to use some colour to make that possible

I absolutely see where you got the shape now. The space view of the Nile delta also really helped. I like this even more now. I suppose it makes a little less sense to those of us that are elsewhere in the world but between your brief and the supporting images you've provided I'd say you've pretty much nailed down an icon that is totally appropriate for it's intended usage. Nice work.

The idea behind it is lovely!
but the concept shown is not as strong as it could/should be.
i agree with the lotus flower looking a little off, i would have never known with out the description, i would love to see the revision on this, take some time sketch out some ideas, cuz from your description this could be an iconic logo!
and possibly play with some color. keep it simple with the colors tho like a flag as you mentioned.
I agree with Stephen here. This is potentially a symbol that could live on for ages. I can't imagine the amount of pride working on this job must instill.
