Persona; Logo

Brief from client

This is a logo for me. I had another logo that I made previously and wanted to try this again to see if I am going in the right direction.

Personal logo symbol of a pen tool with the letter T inside to represent last name and as a savvy pen tool user.

I would like to know if this symbol works or does it need more fine tuning

Profession: Graphic Designer

Personality traits include: Creative, Calm, Amiable and Nice

Colors are Teal and Gray

Any advice would be a big help me for me.

Thank you.

Great clean font! I LOVE the pen! I love the play on positive/negative space creating the T in the middle. Great job!

I like the idea but not for a graphic designer. If you were a calligrapher or a writer it would be fitting better. It feels like you had this idea and you forced it. Virtually no graphic designers work with a fountain pen. Unless this is your unique speciality you will have to do a lot of explaining.

Dude... it is the pen tool from illustrator. Are you a graphic designer?

Sorry but botw has a point. The pen tool is known by its symbol. This logo doesn't really look like it. Both represent a pen but that's it. The first time I saw it, I thought it was some kind of casket, then a helmet. Botw is right to say it looks more like a writer logo.

And what would be the problem if botw wasn't a graphic designer? Most people who will see this logo are not. And I doubt that they know about the pen tool...
