Everyone!
Thank you in advance for your feedback. I've been going through a branding exercise for my wedding photography business and need some input before I roll it out.
Is the logo visually impactful 1(bad)- 10 (great)?
Do you get the feeling that this is a fun and sophisticated brand?
Is the font treatment good or not so good?
How would you rate the design from 1(bad) to 10 (great)?
Any other feedback will be much appreciated.

There is a lot of information to work from, but not of that makes it to the logo, which is essentially a gold circle with hot pink type. I do appreciate that there isn't a camera body/lens in the logo. I am just not certain how you made the leap from unique/couple centric/approachable to this design. I would love to see what other concepts you had.
Friends. The feedback is unanimous. It sucks. Thank you!!! You and the rest of the folks on this site have just helped me with the argument to hire a graphic designer to create a logo. I'm a marketing manager by day and can create briefs all day long, but I'm not a graphic designer, nor have the tools to execute. When we have a real logo built by a designer I will post. Any recommendation on good hires for a design exercise?
No it doesnt suck just what I would do with the text is make the line stroke thicker and throw a deeper color than the gold disk is. That way it would look like its carved into the disk.
This shows very minimal effort, honestly. It's not interesting, just extremely generic.
Sketch, sketch, sketch. Then bring an interesting idea to the computer.

Replace photography and anything else, and it wouldn't change a thing. This is definitely very poorly thought through and feels globally rushed.

Depends what your budget is =)
I know you seem to be getting all thumbs down on this but that doesn't mean it's terrible. However, from your description - this does not fit at all. The type doesn't fit to your target audience, it's too messy and unrefined. Type that is done in that style needs to be more purposeful and sure in each stroke. The "photography" type doesn't go with that style either. The colors don't say wedding photography at all they say Claire's earrings. If you are looking for the target audience of adults women I would maybe suggest using Mint for one of the colors. Overall you need to have something new. But this shows much promise, keep on going!!! :)
Thanks Kayla. I appreciate the feedback and agree with you and the other folks feedback. I was trying to make a point to my partner on the business that though we can write a great brief we still need a skilled creative to translate the ask. It's not enough to create something on powerpoint and if we invest nothing, the result will be poor and unpolished. I've got my partner convinced that we need to hire someone. Do you know of any good creatives for a task such as this?
I recommend using pencil and paper and start looking for a quiet place to develop new ideas =)
