Brief from client 

Incorporate a presentation called PowerPoint17 (A PowerPoint presentation) into a logo. Something glossy and modern and icon-like.

is the presentation about elephants? or some other creature? I'm really seeing an animal in here. Besides that this really doesn't say too much, it looks like a dock icon.

LOL no its not about elephants. But that is an interesting observation so I'll definitely take note! It is a presentation about an upcoming app of some sort. Almost a game if you will. Yeah the "Docky-look" was intentional as well as I wanted it to look iconish.

I know it's difficult to do something good on a silly brief. "Incorporate a Powerpoint Presentation to a logo" sounds really weird. So is this "logo". I'd never figure out this was a logo. It doesn't say anything about a presentation or PowerPoint or anything else. The only thing you can figure out is 17 maybe if you try hard enough. I'd suggest concentrate on visualizing a Presentation in the graphic and than just write the name the client wants next to it with some nice typo.
