This is good. As a stand alone logo though, I would loose the grey text in the background, but you could leave the layering on the actual letters. Have you tried combining the symbol with the letter "Q" to streamline the whole logo? I would make the tag line the same width as the name, as it creates an odd triangular shape that for me conflicts with the shape of the symbol.

I agree with 2423 media. Why not choose between the 'or | instead of the two?

nothing against the name and overall typography and idea are good. Now, what annoys me is the grey text, because I do not understand it good enough but I still can see it.Colors also good.

I like the logo but thought it was for chocolate.

maybe the symbol change it for a form and the line put it up with the orange color

Sorry man, I dont like it. The two fonts doesnt work together. Remember you to keep them with same width. And that symbol dont talk about food, talk about paths, cycles. Maybe a peruvian style draw of a chiken, cui (indian pig), a pepper ... some local food works better. like this one

Don't get confused - the logo looks good, I would take out the | line. (and I assume that the background text "sample" is only for protection?

Marcelo and Brockmann are right. The easiest way out is to change the designner. (just kidding) I don't know much about Peruvian cuisine, but those ancient symbols depicted by Brockman tell the story. I would rather take those old sybmols and work something new out of them, than take some bold fonts and put a spiral over them, which as I understood stand for innovation.

i know you can do better then this but this is good start ...
