Brief from client
I have to use the same colors and can only change the word "impression"
They do printing and other office related work
I changed the font to make it look less narrow and condense but do not know some thing looks off
Need help

For starters, I don't understand the general idea of this design.
What are those blue and yellow rectangles on top of "QAMS"? Why "QAMS" is placed inside something that resembles filmstrip? Why the yellow line at the bottom is thicker that the one on top?
You could have used a similar font for the new "IMPRESSION"
The lines, squares and the QAMS is there main logo for the mother company
that has to say and i can't change that
IMPRESSION is there tag line i guess
OK. Like I said use a font that looks like the old one (specially the "M") but not that tall.
If "Impression" is a sub-brand of QAMS, then give "IMPRESSION" its hierarchy and make it smaller than "QAMS". Take a look at these examples:

When you have the chance tell your client that this logo is quite busy and needs to be redesigned
what i don't understand is why you can't change the whole design and bring it up to date. It needs modernised to be more relevant to todays logos. Any font would've been an improvement as such but there is not a lot you could do with those restrictions. And it may looks awkward because of the space between qams then there are hardly any spaces between the impression bit.
