The windows butterfly type thing is a bit interesting, everything else is honestly quite bad. Don't use harsh gradients in your designs, also, tone down your colors. The typeface you use isn't very good either. Try to look at what most successful designers use for their logo, you won't see a lot of harsh gradients or a ton of colors in one logo for the most part, try to get inspiration from designs you like while staying original :)

It's always better to start a logo on paper and not jump straight to Illustrator.

Dude, u play to much with the degrades, overlaps, outlines and stuff, try make him much more simple. But u there, just keep trying.

I've seen that exact shape on stock logo libraries. be careful with your logos, especially if it's to reflect 'your' designs.

It looks too much like the old msn butterfly or windows.

FYI that newshunt logo is a free vector library logo.

It's ok to get ideas from stock logos, and use them if you must. Hell even I brows the galleries for new ideas, there are some great ones. But I despise using 100% other peoples ideas and making them your own.
