I think you answered your question with the background which you put your logo onto.

The logo is too busy and gets lost on a dark background. The thumbnail version is illegible.

I think that you should post it here at least without a background and ideally in one color so that we can see how it works in that way.

Please remove all thing that you put it and dont belong to the logo... this way is to hard to analise.

no backgroud please, a proper logo looks good with or without background. i guess it would look good without but I gave thumbs down for all because is an elementary thing not to put a background. As askill said , too much stuff there, simplfiy....

Are those lights on a dimmer switch?
