Brief from client
Logo for start-up apparel company in Alaska. Apparel will have this logo on it, plus other artwork, mostly animal. Raven's are a very significant bird within Alaska. 'Rogue' represents how Alaskans are often non-conforming, and proud of it.

Ok, the intention behind this logo is good but the end result doesn't work.
The symbol looks way too much like a clip art. Or like if you just drew over a picture. You could go with a kind of illustrative eagle symbol, but it's way more complicated than this and would require a lot of time to create. Here, the eagle is asymmetrical, the left wing is shorter than the right wing (but maybe there's a hidden message here =) which makes the whole thing uneven. It globally looks too random.
The font really doesn't work at all. Papyrus is one of the worst fonts ever. It's like Comic Sans. It's ok to use it on an invitation for kid's birthday party, but certainly not for a logo with which wants to look bad ass =) It's kinda a rule of thumb among designers to avoid this font at all cost. It makes your logo and more importantly your brand look cheap.
Hope it helps!
hey i agree with shawali, try having another abstraction of a raven and change the font, that Papyrus is just bad..
and i don`t know why, but i just don't like how a logo looks inside a circle or square or rectangle, i think you don't need that..
greetings =)
