Brief from client 

Had some inspiration and decided to try creating a logo with a luxe look.. Spend some time on the colour usage, and this is what I came up with.

This looks very dated. Like 80's style dated. It also doesn't have any specific features that make you jump up and appreciate the logo. The same goes for your typography. Always make sketches either digitally or on paper but make as much until you feel you're satisfied with the result. To get some ideas you should try looking around at: www.logopond.com Goodluck!
