Brief from client
I am a 2nd grade student of a media design training. We had to make a logo for ourselves as an assignment. I need some feedback so I can optimize my logo.

I wanted to do something with typography, symmetric but also slightly distorted design.
The text on the background is my name mirrored and placed right behind it. This created de symmetric effect on some letters, but on some letters it was slightly misfit which creates the distortion.
I would highly appreciate feedback if some adjustments are needed :)

You got some skills alright, but this is not really working. The inverted word in the back just kills the legibility. I needed to squint my eyes to read it.
A logo should be simple (not simplistic), easily readable and memorable.
For the subtext on the right, instead of duplicating the word "design", which doesn't really make sense, why don't you try to put the word "graphic"? Again, keep thing simple. To be honest, I would ditch that part altogether. If you're a graphic design, you shouldn't have to write it down in your logo. The logos itself should be proof enough.
Good luck!
I've seen this idea before but with this colors it doesn't work very well. Maybe Shawali is right and you should make your logo more simple.
Try to make the two words 'ruben and 'lisman' more readable (by using different colors for example).
