Brief from client
A new independent rum brand, based in the UK. The brand will be an ethical one, contributing 10% of profits to sea turtle conservation world wide. Brand should feel premium with an eye-catching brand style.
Hi guys,
I have a logo which has been through a fair few iterations with the client. I am happy with the general direction but I thought I would post as I am approaching the final stage I thought I would get some thoughts on the level of detail, the composition, any tips for improvement etc

I must admit I'm having a hard finding anything to say about this logo, safe that it's a bang on job.
The level of details is perfect. Yes there are many little bits and bobs but the are very tastefully implemanted and gives the whole thing a very organic look and feel.
Nah really, I don't have anything negative to say about this. It just works.

I'd like to add that it's refreshing to see the design full illustrated and not just one side and then reflected for the other. Nice job.
I can agree that this is in a very good spot currently.
One thing I would recommend is having a version that has less smaller details. I work with a lot of printing and engraving and if this were to ever go small the details would possibly start filling in especially with the shell rim at the bottom. Even with that I still believe it would have to be printed on a very small item before that happens but, it's just something to keep in mind. Better to have control over what is filled in than letting the printing process decide for you.
I do like this concept! My only negative here is the choice of font, it could have been a much cooler , more modern one. The eye on the turtle's head is done very well. Maybe it is just me, but when it's listed as " Black Turtle " - I want to see it done in black. Another thought is how cool would be fill with rum the turtle's protective shell and having these decor elements serving as ice cubes?
