Runway Outdoor

Brief from client
Logo for outdoor products like shoes, sandals, flip-flops and bags
First thing - I don't think there's any need for a gradient in the symbol. Secondly, I'm not big on the font you've chosen for Runway- but the Outdoor font is fine. Lastly, the symbol sure is something like a billion other things that we've seen before, but it's not terrible.
Definitely get rid of the gradient in the symbol, make it a nice bold color- and I'd darken up the gray on the main text and have it just as dark if not darker than the subtext. Right now it looks like Outdoor is darker than Runway- which seems wrong.
I agree with sara. There are so many symbols similar to this that it doesn't look that unique. I don't really like the figure in the current state. I get it, but it looks disproportionate. I'm sure you're going for an "R" shape in the figure, but the head seems too big and the lack of a left arm is weird. If I saw this figure symbol alone on a product (without the words) I would not know what it was. I would concentrate on creating a more crisp figure symbol using the same dynamic you have going, but think of it as your focus rather than the both the symbol and the name since you're already down-playing the name. The "runway" type is simple but okay. The "outdoor" type looks like an afterthought.
