Shark Ink

Cool idea but it needs reworking I think. The lightbulb needs redrawing, if you're going try pull something like this off as your own logo the illustration will have to be perfect. At the moment it's looking a little cliparty and rough. Also I don't think you should let the symbol interfere with the text so much, it's to imposing between the words, try having it to one side. The font is pretty poor, looks a bit amateur, pick something slicker. This needs some colour because this greyscale scheme isn't working, makes it look quiet drab.

Choose a different font

Instead of a light bulb why not have the shark swimming in an ink well

Then try different positioning, the symbol being between the words is not working

this is too pale the execution is poor, pay attention to the kerning.over all not working for me sorry.back to your drawing board draw as many as you can and pick the best then present again.

My opinion is: simplify the bulb, for example like this:
