Sista Bunny

Brief from client
She didn't have any request, just needed me to put together a flyer design for the dinners that she made.
Don't mind the background, its a screen shot from the flyer I designed.
Just doesn't look like a rabbit to me. The ears read more like horns (it would have worked for "Sista Jackelope's"... I get that you were using the "s"~ but change the font rather than sacrifice the symbol. It's not such a great font that a change would have destroyed the design.
The font for the tag isn't special and could have been different or arranged better.
The gradient and drop shadow take away from, rather than enhance the design.
I think that if you had spent more time on this, it could have developed nicely. I would keep working on it. I can see potential there.
nice try on the bunny, i think you can come up with another way to showcase the bunny into this. typography wise, i think you should try other fonts and color wise, lose the colors and go with a different palette.
Try using the "S" to make the bunny with one ear and make it a graphic mark, all by itself. Then work on the wordmark only with fonts (no tricks here).
Maybe you want to communicate something fresh, cool, but this font is not helping.
Remove shadows, gradients, patterns, backgrounds and everything that contaminates your logo.

The ears of the bunny look like antenas.
