Brief from client 

Need to make it more unique. Tips are welcome :)

Please make the logo more unique/distinct. It's very
hard to trademark this logo in most countries. Please remember that logos
should be generic enough to be applicable to various businesses, but unique
enough to become trademarks. Thank you.

Owls and books are a bit too obvious at this point. Not that the symbol is badly made or anything, it is quite nice. But if anything is shown with a book, it is an owl.

Remove the cover and match the opened pages with the curves of the owl's brows. Get rid of the shadow, it's superfluous.

Keep it up!

The only thing i think of when in see this is the TripAdvisor logo. Looks good, but i cant get past that personally
