TACV Cabo Verde Airlines
Brief from client
TACV is the national carrier of Cape Verde, a archipelago nation in the central Atlantic Ocean. Re-positioning itself as a leisure carrier to cater for the developing tourism industry on the islands, a new brand identity is required to give the airline a fresh, modern feel, whilst still retaining reference to the carrier's previous design.

I initially attempted to modernize the current logo, supposedly a set of wings with seven dashes, representative of the airline's seven inter island routes : http://www.caboverde.com/pages/615813a.gif . However due to the unique shape, I was unable to create a more modern version of the logo which still showed some resemblance to the current design. Instead, I therefore chose to go with a purely text based logo, but utilizing the previous 'wings' logo in various pieces of advertising such as this banner ad : http://airlineliveries.webs.com/tacv%20signature.PNG It is also intended to be used on stationeries, aircraft interior furnishings, ground service vehicles, etc. as opposed to the text based logo.
The design has also been applied to an aircraft livery, showcased here on a Boeing 787 : http://airlineliveries.webs.com/tacv%20sb%20787.png
Please excuse the quality of some of the images; I'm currently having some issues with the software when resizing.

Gostei. Também gostei das cores, só gostaria de saber o porquê dessas cores. Parabéns bom trabalho. (acho que funciona muitissimo bem no avião)
I like it. And I like the colors also. Just question about the choose of the colors. Good work.(it works great on the airplane)
Thanks. In terms of the colours, I wanted to give the design a warm feel, considering it's aimed manly at leisure travelers looking for some sun. As it happens, the colours, to a degree, do resemble the flag of Cape Verde, which features blue, red and yellow; I know it's not obvious, but purple, pink and orange are only 'slight' variations to the colours used on the flag. That's merely a coincidence however; I hadn't set out to do that anyway.
I really like it. Congrat. Good job! :)
