I don't mind the use of CMYK when it has to do with the printing industry. There really aren't a lot of related design elements to use except for maybe some press rollers or an ink splat so the use of CMYK is almost necessary, just been overdone to death. I like the symbol but definitely remove the orange spots. You may want to strengthen the font a bit.

Hum... it look not so bad on screen. But it may look like a shit when reduced and printed. Maybe simplify a little.
How would it look like all in black and white ?....
How many color do you have in there ? Just CMYK is already a lot of color for a logo... it look like there is orange too.
Using CMYK colors in this industrie is pretty common...

It looks messy to me. I don't like the idea. Feels like a printing house.

try reducing dots number & colors and/or using capital letter for <communication>
Try taking out so many of the dots like homer said its too busy and still feels like printing company.
I think you used too many colors and elements, making it difficult to communicate at first sight.
Too much colours. Try two colours and increase the resolution
