Brief from client 

To create a very simple logo with text no major icons.

Tom works with wood and makes furniture, restores windows, creates tailor made units for interior and exterior use. Basically, if it's made from wood, Tom can do it but he is not sure of what title he should use. The work he does is of a very high quality so the logo and strap line needs to show that.

I have picked three that are close to what Tom is looking for but the strap lines still don't feel 100% right, the other two that aren't on the logo are 'Woodworker' or 'furniture, cabinet making and specialist joinery' but they all feel a bit weak.

Please could you critique this logo for me and consider the strap line.

Any ideas and suggestions are appreciated!

Added come colour and toned down the harsh black.

Any thoughts on strap line yet?

It is ok that the strap line is subtle, but maybe is a bit too subtle. And the kerning is kinda off. The subtext would fit better if centred.

I agree with Allie. Really cool idea but way too discreet and subtle.
