What's a carbon car part? you mean cars made with carbon fiber parts?

I do not think this works for what you are trying to portray.

Colors do not fit the car industry & the logo does not fit description

Honey, what is this?
Giant generic icon and a tiny, barely readable type?
You have to put a bit more effort into this to make it look like a good logo.
I suggest you start with a different creative idea.

I googled "carbon car parts" and I saw nothing that was blue and red.??

Maybe you need to check out the product you are dealing with and do some brainstorming.

Yep. That's what I found too. Bumpers, hoods, etc made with that material, so I don't know what's going on here.

I'm not so much going for a realistic look of the part for the logo. This logo would only symbolize the parts fitting together. I will be working on some alterations. Thanks for the comments. Let me know if anyone see anything positive in the design.

OK. First you need to explain what you are talking about. For starters, what's a carbon part? Give us some nice brief in your next design.
