Brief from client
I needed a simple logo that can be made into a brand later down the road. The 3 colors used are the colors I selected before starting the logo process. I want to convey clean digital design for a vector design store focused on cricut and other vinyl cutter compatibility

Designing your own logo is frustrating. You try to include all the rules of logos while designing what you have in mind for your company. I'm not a logo designer by any means, but I'm giving it my best shot. Is it too plain and uninteresting? Should I scrap it and try something else? Should I work with this design and tweak it? I need critiques please.

I think you have something with the 'V' only.
I'd lose the border completely and move the vectsy.com type down so that it's not going over the V at all and have it a lot smaller in a contemporary font.
After this we can start fresh and it could be a great logo with some work :)
I completely agree with Jon. The border needs to go. You could add it back in if you need an icon for an app store. That's what is reminds me of now. The font is a bit loose looking for a sharp V. Other than that, great start.
I agree with the above. I'd lose the whole squared frame altogether.
I'd find tighter font too. This one kinda clashes graphically with the general look & feel.
