Brief from client
I created this logo for my startup. I am not a designer. Just need to hear some feedback, especially on the colors. The logo is for a social enterprise selling handmade footwear (slippers). Thanks.

I'm struggling to see footwear in the image, even in my 2nd and 3rd glances. At that point, it should at least be recognizable, but I still think it looks like a circus tent, sorry.
The font also bugs me a bit because some letters are connected, but the "aw" is cut off from the left and right. Cursive/script font shouldn't do that, and this is the caveat of using script fonts on your computer. It's really, really hard to pull off and look organic.
I'm not real crazy about the colors. It makes me think of agriculture (think John Deere).
I totally understand you're just learning, so don't feel too discouraged with all red thumbs. But this really doesn't look that bad for a beginner, all things considered. I hope I've addressed my reasoning behind each category, and encourage you to keep at it, with some of the suggestions I've made. Best of luck!
I agree with basically everything xKillswitch said...I definitely see a tent rather than a shoe. I was surprised to see the description. Perhaps you can take one of the slippers and sketch it from various angles to give you a jumping off point.
Same here, I see a tent.
Quick pro tip: Lobster is an awesome font, but it's a free awesome font. You see it on every cheap poster, website and logo and you're better off avoiding using it altogether.
