Quorum Health Resources (QHR) has provided management, consulting and educational services to clients for more than 3 decades, serving nearly 1,000 hospitals in some capacity through the years. Quorum was established in 1977 by Hospital Corporation of America as a wholly owned subsidiary named HCA Management Company. Community Health Systems (CHS) acquired QHR in 2007, and has focused on opportunities to develop synergies from the economies of scale of more than 250 combined CHS and QHR hospitals.
