Basement Apes Recording Studio

What do apes have to do with recording? It's just stupid. Go back to the drawing board!!!

I think Basement Apes sounds alright. Im assuming that the studio is situated on a low level and the apes are the folks who work there!

The symbol could be improved in my opinion. The arms of the gorilla could do with differentiating in a similar manner to the legs so that you could tell the front from back.
The back legs look a bit off at the moment as well. The white line that you've used to create shape may look better if it was thicker.

Some of the letter spacing looks a little off to me (a and s in base, t and u in studio), the font looks ok. Maybe drop the horizontal lines and make the "basement apes" a little larger might work.

In my opinion I think you have the basis of a good logo, just needs a bit of polishing up.

I think this could work just fine, and whether or not the name makes sense to other people, it's the name of the place so it's what it's gotta be! (ie- I'd have to suggest ignoring 2423's comment above! It's not stupid at all, I kind of like the name!) The gorilla definitely needs some work- those back legs are kind of funky (I don't think that thin white line needs to be there) and I'd most definitely try some different fonts. I'm not a fan of the font used here at all, it's too clunky or something.

So yeah, I think this is a fine place to start- just try some new fonts maybe and keep working on the gorilla!

I'd try other colors, or at least make it brighter, the purple you have now reminds me of Grape Ape. Per saraqroxy as well.
